Morris H. Allen, 68 of Tower Hill, Ill died suddenly while visiting at the home of a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jack Douglas, Rt 4, Crawfordsville. He was a former resident of this city and had resided at Tower Hill since 1954.  Born July 23, 1897, in Fountain County, Mr. Allen  was a son of Thomas and Libby Nolan Allen.  He was twice married first to Gladys Myers and following her death to Wilda Campbell on March 9 1945 at Danville, Ind. Mr. Allen had been a farmer and at one time employed by the Hydraulic Press Brick Company here. Surviving in addition the widow and stepdau at whose home Mr. Allen died are two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Zachary of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Richard Anderson of Indianapolis; a son, Richard Allen, two other stepdaughters, Mrs. Cletus Murray of Tower Hilland Mrs. John Vaught, Rt 5, Crawfordsville; a stepson, Don Campbell of Columbus, Ind; two brothers, Jess Allen of Wallace and Ralph Allen of Williamsport; a sister, Mrs. Theodore Wright of near Indianapolis; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers in addition to his first wife. Services will be conducted at Bright Funeral Home at 2 p.m Monday in charge of Rev. John R. Servies. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon today.
